Scope of Practice

The less fun — but still very important —fine print

At IVF BFF, we want you to feel confident knowing exactly what kind of support you’ll receive. Anna Szendrei is a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in Maine and other compact states. She brings years of experience in hospital settings and reproductive health, with a special focus on supporting individuals and families through the IVF journey.

She provides non-diagnostic, nurse-led education and support services related to IVF medications and treatment workflows. If services are provided by telehealth, Anna will only offer services in states where her nursing license permits.

  • Practical comfort measures, organization tips, and treatment-readiness checklists

  • General wellness guidance consistent with nursing standards such as hydration, sleep hygiene, and stress-reduction tips

  • Coordination and clarifying communication with your clinic when you request it, for the limited purpose of reinforcing their instructions

Services Not Provided - Anna does not replace your doctor.

Medication and Injection Support

  • All medication use must follow the written orders provided by your prescribing clinician

  • If you request hands-on injection assistance, Anna will verify the medication, dose, route, site, and timing against your clinic’s orders and will use clean technique and standard nursing safety checks

  • If any discrepancy or concern arises, injection will be paused and your clinic will be contacted for clarification

Communication and Documentation

  • You authorize IVF BFF to communicate with your clinic as needed to confirm instructions and document support provided, in partnership but not as a replacement

Emergencies and Urgent Concerns

If you experience severe pain, heavy bleeding, trouble breathing, signs of infection, allergic reaction, or any sudden worsening of symptoms, call your clinic’s emergency line or 911. IVF BFF does not provide emergency services.
